Jawad Iqbal

Jawad Iqbal is an Immunologist with a strong background in the generation and characterization of monoclonal antibodies. He received his Master’s degree with distinction in Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University (Pakistan) and later moved to the University of Geneva (Switzerland) to work as a research assistant in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Medicine. During his doctoral studies at the Institute of Immunology, University Medicine Greifswald (Germany), he extensively studied the pathogen-specific antibody response and the immune memory against different pathogens in infective endocarditis patients. Moreover, he also generated and characterized monoclonal antibodies against S. aureus virulence factors.
