Silvia has a background in molecular biology with a strong focus on developmental and organismal research. She holds a Master degree from Heidelberg University and a PhD degree from the Centre for Organismal Studies in Heidelberg. Here she worked on the evolution of morphology with the focus on genetic changes resulting in specific tissue wide morphological traits. After working as a postdoctoral researcher in the same group for several years, she joint VERAXA Biotech GmbH.
